The Yorkshire Academy Rams continued their impressive form with a dominant 52-7 victory over the Lancashire Wolverines.

The Rams opened the scoring with a strong first drive, capped off by Tyler Broad running in a touchdown. Taylor Umland connected with Spencer Whybrow for the 2PAT, giving the Rams an early 8-0 lead.

The Rams’ defense quickly forced the Wolverines to go 3-and-out, and after a good return from Tyler Broad, the Rams found themselves deep in Wolverines’ territory. Although a big sack forced them to punt, the Rams’ defense continued to stifle the Wolverines, leading to another turnover on downs after a failed punt attempt.

Taylor Umland found Conor Moran in the endzone for another touchdown, and then ran in the 2PAT himself, extending the lead to 16-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The Wolverines managed to score with a big pass play and a successful PAT, bringing the score to 16-7. However, Zak Thompson responded immediately with a kickoff return touchdown. Umland ran in the 2PAT again, making it 24-7.

By halftime, the Rams had extended their lead to 24-7. The second half saw continued dominance from the Rams. Dionte Watson caught a touchdown pass from Umland, though the 2PAT was no good, making it 30-7.

A series of impressive defensive plays, including a sack by Adam Cowley and a blocked punt recovered by Will Johnson, set the Rams up in excellent field position. Umland ran in another touchdown, followed by a successful 2PAT to Dionte Watson, bringing the score to 38-7 by the end of the third quarter.

Early in the fourth quarter, Umland connected with Broad, who avoided all tackles to reach the endzone. Although the 2PAT was no good, the Rams extended their lead to 44-7.

Trish Sarkar caught a big pass from Umland for another touchdown, and Umland connected with Henry Gill for the 2PAT, making it 52-7.

As time was running out, Tyler Broad made another spectacular play, toe-tapping on the sideline for an interception, sealing the 52-7 victory.
