War of the Roses, Round 2

Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the Yorkshire Rams travel across the Pennines to take on the Lancashire Wolverines in their own back yard in game 2 of their 2014 campaign. With last year’s encounter finishing 22-7 in favour of the Black & Gold, the Rams will be looking for a repeat performance as they look to extend their undefeated start to the season.

Lancashire have started their campaign with a mixed bag 1-1 record, after a heavy 36-0 defeat to the Tamworth Phoenix back in April, they bounced back with a 19-12 victory over the Birmingham Bulls 2 weeks ago. The Wolverines will be looking at this fixture as a yardstick for their potential to push for the playoff spots this season, whilst the Rams will be riding high following their 11-8 decision over local rivals the Sheffield Predators.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Blackburn Rugby Club, BB1 8NB with free entry,and a licensed bar on site.
